Coda is the UK’s fastest growing industrial B2B marketing agency – and with our in-demand combination of expert content, communications and campaigns turbocharged by rapid growth in marketing automation, website optimisation, SEO and PPC, we’re looking for an experienced Account Director to expand the support for our global customer base.

We need an experienced Account Director who would like to work with diverse clients in Europe and Americas. You’ll be ambitious and accomplished with a proven track record in managing large accounts and overseeing a team. Professional and proficient in your approach, you’ll be heading up and lead one of the agency’s biggest accounts, bringing Coda and our clients a can-do attitude that’s based in best-practice methodologies.

Reporting to the Client Services Director, you’ll be personable and proactive, able to juggle provision of topline marketing strategies alongside being hands on in project and asset delivery. You’ll learn and be knowledgeable about our clients’ products and services, so you are able to converse with them at the level they demand; you’ll be an excellent communicator and decision maker, able to work on your own initiative, as well as integrating yourself into our close-knit team, based in Poole, Dorset.

**Please note that while we operate a full hybrid working policy, you will be expected to be able to onboard, attend team meetings and participate in planning activities at our office in Poole, Dorset as required, so please only apply if you are based within reasonable commuting distance or are considering relocation**

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with the client, acting as the focal point of all comms
  • Drive innovation and strategic growth of the account at all times, identifying opportunities for growth
  • Oversee and action all projects on a day-to-day basis to ensure the client is getting what they need, when they want it
  • Responsibility for day-to-day budget management and income forecasting
  • Ensuring all creativity, messaging and all key assets delivered are on brief and on brand
  • Ability to mentor account management team


Essential skills

  • Proven in client liaison and relationship building
  • Project and budget management skills
  • Experience in team management and in overseeing large accounts
  • A strategic marketing communications thinker, able to devise and present practical and relevant marketing solutions to our clients
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Proficient in agency processes, systems and platforms
  • Highly organised in account management and time management
  • Confident to make and own informed decisions in the best interests of client and agency

Essential requirements

  • Clean driving license
  • Current passport
  • Degree level qualification in a marketing communications discipline, or at least 3 years equivalent experience in a relevant position
  • B2B experience
  • A demonstrable track record in account management

Salary: £55,000 –  £60,000 DOA
