Senior PR Manager

Coda is the UK’s fastest-growing industrial B2B marketing agency – and with our in-demand combination of expert content, communications and campaigns turbocharged by the increased requirement for PR and social media, we’re looking for an experienced Senior PR Manager to expand the support for our global customer base.

We’d like to hear from experienced PR managers who would like to work with a diverse range of accounts across Europe, and Americas.

About the Role

You’ll be an ambitious, accomplished PR manager with at least three years of marketing agency experience in a PR role, who dreams of taking their skills to international level. Professional and proficient in your approach, you’ll bring Coda and our clients your can-do attitude that’s based in best-practice PR methodologies and processes.

Working with the MD and PR team, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Setting up and delivering an online news service for an international client
  • Identifying relevant industry news and topics to build into the newsroom
  • Working with the team to develop client PR campaigns and strategies, along with the wide client account management team
  • Develop and maintain excellent media and influencer relationships with relevant industry editors and contacts
  • Monitor and develop social media channels for clients
  • Report to the clients and the MD on results

About you

You’ll have worked in a marketing agency as part of the PR function and understand how to juggle different client priorities. Experience of working in a press office environment would be highly beneficial.

Personable and proactive, you’ll learn and develop a technical understanding of our client’s products and services, so you are able to converse with them at the level they demand; you’ll also be a decision maker, able to work on your own initiative, as well as integrating yourself into our close-knit team, based in Poole, Dorset.

**Please note that while we operate a full hybrid working policy, you will be expected to be able to onboard, attend team meetings and participate in planning activities at our office in Poole, Dorset as required, so please only apply if you are based within reasonable commuting distance or are considering relocation**

Essential skills

  • Proven in client liaison and relationship building with the media
  • Excellent communication skills (written, presentation and verbal) including press releases, editorials, social media posts, web news
  • Excellent networking skills with diplomacy and tact
  • Highly organised in account management and time management with the ability to react quickly and professionally to news and changing priorities
  • Confident to make and own informed decisions in the best interests of the client and agency
  • Project and budget management skills

Essential requirements

  • Clean driving license
  • Current passport
  • Degree-level qualification in a PR discipline, or at least two years equivalent experience in a relevant position
  • A demonstrable track record in working in a PR role within an agency
